Since 1997, Kyung S. Koh has taken part in the 'Free surgical care of congenital anomaly & cleft in Vietnam-Laos' and practice the welfare service. All the staffs are now participating in the Plastic surgery service superintended by the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, free surgical care of the medically neglected patients supported by the Division of Social welfare service in the Asan Medical Center and the public broadcasting companies.

Aside from the medical welfare service, Joon Pio Hong serves as the editor-in-chief of Archives of Plastic Surgery and provides the academical support to the younger plastic surgeons. Jin Sup Eom serves as the chairmen of Korean Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Jong Woo Choi serves as the chairmen of Korean Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

In addition, since 2004, Asan Plastic Symposium has been held every year with renewed topics so that the plastic surgeons can share the latest knowledge and techniques from the domestic and international specialists.
